This page is for officials to give guidance as to what equipment is needed to officiate Football. There are several different types of some items to show what is available to you.

Football is an outdoor sport where you will encounter various types of weather. In North Carolina the first half of the season you can expect to encounter temperatures as high as the 90s however in the second half of the season you can expect much cooler temperatures sometimes as dipping down into the 20s. It's imperative to have the proper equipment and dress accordingly!

Please contact your Regional Supervisor if you have any questions about uniforms and equipment. In some cases they may have a specific item they want you to purchase and in other cases you may be able to purchase a different style or brand. SSOA does not endorse any specific brands or items.
